A large-scale reconstruction of the embankment is being continued in the Left Bank district of Mariupol. "Sosnovy Bor", a picnic area, a tent for recreation and sports grounds will be on the spot. Funding is provided from the regional and city budgets. Mayor Vadym Boichenko checked the progress of the project.

“The reconstruction will breathe new life into the area of ​​the Left Bank embankment. Organize comfortable locations for healthy and active recreation. It is equally important that the village adjacent to the embankment will be equipped with a sewage system, which has not existed since its foundation”,

- Vadym Boichenko said.

Now the laying of gravity and pressure sewer collectors is underway as part of the construction of pressure stations. This will allow to collect wastewater from residential buildings located along the embankment in Vinogradnaya Street, existing cafes and shops, projected and existing beach toilets and send them to the general urban network.

Subsequent work is divided into two stages. The first one is landscaping the area, taking into account the maximum preservation of trees and shrubs, covering sidewalks and bike paths, arranging parking. The paths are organized for unhindered access for people with limited mobility, a coating with a non-slip surface and no elevation differences is provided. Drinking fountains and dry closets will be installed locally.

The green area will be divided into a “pine forest” and a picnic area. For this purpose, it is planned to plant more than 200 pines, about 40 verbal pears and more than 900 juniper bushes. A lawn of perennial grasses is also provided.

As part of the second stage, a playground and sports grounds with exercise equipment and a zone with inflatable attractions will be created. A pavilion for relaxation, gazebos, sun loungers, awnings, changing rooms and showers will be fixed. The entire embankment will be illuminated by LED lamps.

In addition, the stairs leading from Meotida Boulevard will be repaired.
