On May 27, the capital repairs of the section along Victory Avenue will start. They will be held in two stages. At the first stage, repairs will take place from Meotida Boulevard to Amosov Lane. This was told by the director of the department of transport and communications Vasily Klat.
‘Starting from May 27, car traffic in the right lane along left bank will be blocked in this area. The buses will move on the left side of the road. A two-way traffic will be organized there,’ Vasily Klat said.
In this connection, the trolleybus movement will be completely stopped. It is planned to start more trams and minibuses.
‘We will change all pipes from metal to plastic. They are much better and more efficient. We plan to do it in 10-12 days. After installation, we will fill everything with an incompressible soil so that there is no shrinkage,’ Sergey Koval, Gorvodokanal’s chief engineer said.
After replacing the pipes, work will begin on the replacement of the roadway. Old curbs and pedestrian coverage will be dismantled. Instead, they will lay a new paving slabs and sidewalks.
After completion of the work, on the right side of the avenue, the work will begin on the left one. At the second stage, workers of Mariupolavtodor and public utilities want to carry out work on the section from Amosov Lane to Veselka Park.
