In 2019 the HOA support program provides 110 apartment buildings for the overhaul, as well as the implementation of 188 mini-projects. About UAH 211 million investments will be allocated from the city budget.
The construction of HOAs includes the repair of the roof, engineering communications, power grids and blind areas. Part of the planned work has already been completed.
For example, in 2018, the residents of the house in Metallurgov Avenue asked for help in repairing the roof. Now it is fully updated. The cost of repairs is about UAH 500 000. The roofing carpet has been completely replaced, the ventilation has been completed and the lift chamber has been repaired. The average lifetime is 20 years.
‘The first constructive HOA is carried out completely at the expense of the city budget. Subsequent constructions and mini-projects are implemented on the terms of co-financing. Residents of HOAs during the meeting decide what needs should be repaired first. The process of co-financing is also determined. The city takes over the design estimates,’ Igor Babek, director of the housing and utilities infrastructure development department of Mariupol city council said.
To date, 715 OSMD have been created in Mariupol, which include about 740 houses. They constitute 40% of the total housing stock of the city.
