This year, for the implementation of infrastructure projects, the regional administration has invested more than UAH 200 million in the development of the city. Due to financial support, Mariupol was able to reconstruct kindergartens, schools, parks, as well as implement sports infrastructure projects.
Mayor Vadym Boichenko told about this during a conversation with journalists.
“More than UAH 200 million of support in 2021. This is more than all the previous five years combined. In 2022, we expect a direct subvention from the state to start the reconstruction of the Sandy beach. Such support from the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Head of Donetsk Region Pavel Kirilenko significantly enhances the development of Mariupol, ”Vadym Boichenko noted.
Due to the "Big Construction" program of the President of Ukraine and the active position of the chairman of the Donetsk regional administration, in 2021, the renovated kindergartens No. 32 and 106, school No. 26 began its work in Mariupol, and the first stage of reconstruction of Hurov Jubilee Park was completed. The reconstruction of the Olympic-level swimming pool "Neptune" is at the final stage.
