Tourist potential of Mariupol to be revealed by the new «m.EHUB» public utility

Today at the session of Mariupol City Council, the deputies supported the creation of “m.EHUB” new public commercial utility. Its goal is to hold events aimed at increasing the tourist attractiveness of the city.

Instead of the department of tourism development and promotion of the City Council, the new venture ‘’m.EHUB’’ will be the embodiment of the strategy of the tourist development of Mariupol. Four key areas of work of the new enterprise are laid in the title. This was told by the deputy mayor Alexander Kochurin. An event that is E, a history that is H, an urban – U and a brand - B.

Event is  holding mass events of another quality level. ‘We have a positive experience in holding large-scale festivals. For example, MRPLCity and Gogolfest. Such events attract much attention to the city. They encourage people to visit Mariupol and discover it for themselves,’ the deputy mayor said.

History means to reveal the historical potential of Mariupol. According to Alexander Kochurin, the city has many historical buildings that need attention. They need to be returned, revived and given them new meanings.

Urban means an arrangement of urban space. Brand means that a developed brand should be reflected in all infrastructure projects of the city.

‘Creation of  such a utility is not a new experience for our country. Such enterprises exist in Lviv, Vinnitsa, Odessa and Kharkov. In addition, the current wage fund that we offer does not go beyond the budget of Mariupol for 2019,’ Alexander Kochurin said.
