A modern swimming pool with elements of accessibility and a gym accredited for the Championship of Ukraine. This will be youth sports school No. 2 after reconstruction.
Oleksiy Kazantsev, head of the youth and sports department, said that the ongoing reconstruction will make the sports school one of the best in Ukraine.
“Unique professional equipment will be installed in the gym. This is only in Koncha-Zaspa. The pool will meet all requirements. For the first time in the city there will be a floor and wall heating system. Due to the heat pump, the pool will work all year round. It will be able to train about 600-700 children,” the head of the department said.
The pool will have a water circulation, ventilation and air conditioning system. Swimming is available for people with disabilities. The building is equipped with ramps, an elevator and a special lift.
Ihor Radchenko, chief engineer, noted that the facility is financed from two sources - the State Regional Development Fund and the city budget. Repair work is almost 50% completed. The facade is being installed and the room is being insulated. The sports school will be able to receive the first visitors this autumn.
