Promoting the culture of disease prevention, creating an effective network of medical institutions, opening specialized institutions and attracting new specialists are the tasks of the new Development Strategy for Mariupol-2030. Deputy Mayor Olena Paramonova told in details about the way medicine will develop in the next 10 years.
This is the implementation of 7 key projects. The creation of a regional medical center and the opening of a regional university clinic of the third level, the creation of a municipal laboratory and diagnostic center and the launch of mobile centers providing primary level of medical care to residents of remote areas are among them. The first mobile center is planned to be launched in 2022 on the basis of Kalmiusky district.
The creation of a unified obstetric and gynecological service will allow concentrating all qualified specialists in this area within one hospital. A new direction will also be developed - pediatric gynecology. It is planned to expand the infectious diseases center of the city hospital No. 4. A center for medical rehabilitation and palliative care will be created on the basis of city hospital No. 9. In addition, a municipal children's maxillofacial center will be opened in Mariupol to provide dental and surgical services. It will be equipped with the most modern specialized equipment.
“The main goal is the physical, mental and social well-being of Mariupol residents. To improve the quality and life expectancy of the population, we must promote a culture of disease prevention. To do this, one should not stop at what has already been achieved, it is necessary to continue the development of medical institutions, to create clinics of the third level, ”Olena Paramonova said.
According to her, it is necessary to supply the city with medical workers. A base of medical personnel in Mariupol will be formed and a motivation system will be developed. It is planned to carry out a digital transformation and create a network of medical and preventive institutions.
