A festival of flowers has been held in Levoberezhnyi district in Veselka Park. Hundreds of Mariupol residents from all parts of the city came to look at more than 200 000 of plants. Mayor Vadim Boichenko looked at the riot of colors of flowers and talked with the residents of the city.

For 9 months, more than 30 types of tulips, daffodils, hydrangeas, crocuses and many other flowers will delight visitors of the park. Flower exposure will be changed every year. There is an information table near each bed.

A model of Veselka Park  was made as the famous royal park of flowers in the Netherlands - Keukenhof.

‘We show that we are building Europe in Mariupol with such parks and infrastructure projects. We do it for our children and youth. I want them to be inspired by the city. You have seen that Mariupol is changing and developing. I am sure it will become an example for other cities of Ukraine,’
Vadim Boichenko noted.

During the festival, the children and their parents were entertained by animators. Various games and contests were held. In addition, a park, a fountain, a bridge of lovers, modern lighting, bright playgrounds and a sports area were arranged in the park.

It is planned to equip new children's areas. They will be made of bronze and stainless steel. There will also be a unique embedded trampoline.

It should be noted that the reconstruction of the park is implemented at the expense of the city and regional budgets. The financial assistance was also provided by Metinvest Group. The total investment is more than UAH 52 million. Currently the first phase of the project has been implemented. The park will be completely updated in June of the current year.
