On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, 375 freshmen of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs took the oath of an employee of the National Police of Ukraine and received special tokens. This year, there were young people from 17 regions of Ukraine among the cadets.

They were congratulated by Mayor Vadym Boichenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko.

“Now you will defend human rights and freedoms - the most valuable thing in the state. Tomorrow's success depends on your education today. You have an interesting, unforgettable time ahead. You will receive a knowledge base and skills that will help you to proudly carry the rank of police officer, ” Kateryna Pavlichenko noted.

The cadets took responsibility for fulfilling their official duties and showed their readiness to fulfill their civil and constitutional duty to protect the national interests, integrity and independence of Ukraine.

“Today Mariupol is one of the safest cities in the country. Due to this, we are developing and moving forward. I am sure that after training, you will also protect peace and order in our city ", Vadym Boichenko stressed.

In total, more than three thousand students from 20 regions of Ukraine study at Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.

“By taking the oath, you take on the responsibility of maintaining law and order in the country. Being loyal to the people, take care of yourself and Ukraine, ” Pavlo Kyrylenko stressed.
