The concluding project of the reconstruction of the burnt city council building has been confirmed in Mariupol. The project documentation was given into European Investment Bank that finances the works. The head of major construction work division Galina Sheichenko and the project principal engineer Marina Dedushenko told about the view of the renovated buiding.

‘The project has been worked up since 2016. After the expert assessment, it was decided to change and improve it. The public enterprise ‘City Architecture Bureau’ worked it up. It costs UAH 117 mln. Now the permission from European Investment Bank for adjudication is expected. We will find out when the works will be started. It is planned to start the repairs this autumn’, Galina Sheichenko told.

According to Marina Dedushenko, everything except the supporting structures will be changed. Both facade and the interior will be updated.

‘The reception area will be located on the first floor. Glass dividing walls are provided so that you can see the workflow. On the second and fourth floors the offices of employees will be located. The third one will house the office of the mayor and his deputies. A glass atrium will be attached to the facade, from the side of the main entrance,’ the project’s chief engineer noted.

In addition, a conference room is located on the fourth floor. The operated roof is organized over it. It will become a kind of ‘killer feature’ of the project. The residents and the guests of the city will be able to climb the roof and admire the panorama of the city.
