Switzerland has given a modern medical equipment to Mariupol citizens

MTMO of women’s and children’s health has got a humanitarian aid by way of a new medical equipment in the amount of EUR 150 000. It was given by the Embassy of Switzerland. A medical establishment has got such kind of help for the second time.

 

A medical equipment was given by Swiss delegation and a Head of Swiss Cooperation Office Holger Tausch  was a part of it. The Deputy Mayor Kseniya Sukhova appreciated the guests for help and admitted an importance of cooperation of international organizations with Mariupol.    

 ‘We often have delegations from different countries. We are not afraid to talk about problems and achievements that is why international organizations are ready to cooperate. They are receptive to request and they see our needs’, Kseniya Sukhova said.

As a Head doctor Natalya Sidorenko said, a  pediatric bronchoscope, a lung ventilation unit, an open intensive cure unit for newborn, an oxygen concentrator, a photometer, a single tube portable electrocardiograph and a steam sterilizer were brought to MTMO.

‘Equipment will help both to adults and children. It means that seriously ill children will be able to get necessary help. For example, an open cure unit will let to help children in children’s reanimation. A bronchoscope will let to remove unknown objects from small children bodies. An electrocardiograph and a sterilizer is an equipment that is used almost every day’, a head doctor emphasized.

Holger Tausch admitted a warm welcome of Mariupol citizens and an importance of a medical reform in Ukraine. ‘Today’ we are happy to be here. I am very proud that I can introduce my country in Mariupol to show our solidarity with Ukraine’.

It is worth saying that the first humanitarian help from the Embassy was given in amount of EUR 135 000 a year ago.
