During the meeting, the Executive Committee approved the protocol of the commission for the distribution and provision of housing for temporary residence of internally displaced persons in Mariupol. According to the protocol, 139 families are registered that is 400 people. In total, 479 families (1,500 people) stand in line for housing.
The Head of the City Property Department, Sergey Marchuk, noted in his report that the document provides the registration of temporarily displaced persons, as well as the distribution of free apartments in houses in Krasnomayakskaya Str. and Mendeleev Str.
During the discussion of the issue, the Mayor Vadim Boichenko said that the housing initiative of Mariupol was supported by the Ministry of the temporarily occupied territories. The subventions were received for the purchase of apartments for new Mariupol residents.
Within two years, the total investment in housing amounted to about UAH 70 mln. For these funds 63 apartments were purchased and 39 more social apartments were built. 102 families (more than 300 people) got a total housing.
