The overhaul of the pavement and sidewalks from Ukrainian Cossacks Str. to Pobedy Square is in process. Now the workers are dismantling asphalt pavement and sidewalks.
‘It is planned to replace the asphalt surface and about 25 000 square meters of paving slabs completely. Besides, the sidewalk and road curb will be replaced by granite. Three brigades work on the site every day. All work is done on schedule,’ Deputy Mayor Sergei Zakharov said.
Before the start of repair works, Gorvodokanal replaced 17 pipeline crossings.
A feature of the project is the creation of accessibility for people with special needs. Due to the special understatement of the curb, a person in a wheelchair or parents with a sidecar will be able to drive in from the road to the pavement without any problems.
A whole old tile is also useful. It will be directed to the reconstruction of the Rodina park, located in Vostochniy microdistrict.
‘It is clear that there are some inconveniences for the residents of nearby houses, but without this it is impossible to carry out reconstruction. We are open to residents. If you see that somewhere you need to make changes or install additional transitions, call 15-55,’ Sergey Zakharov addressed the residents of Levoberezhnyi District.
