Today the deputies have supported a question of awarding the title of ‘A citizen of honor of Mariupol’ to the honored master of sports Alexander Komarov. The swimmer was admitted for the achievements in the sport, constant popularization of swimming and healthy lifestyle and strengthening of the positive image of Mariupol.
‘Alexander is a person with a big heart, strong spirit and volition. I am proud of the things you do for our city and for our children. You are showing the example for us and for the younger generation. You inspire us for new achievements’, Vadym Boichenko admitted.
It is worth noting, Alexander Komarov is a member of the swimming team of Ukraine among sportsmen with the problems with supporting-motor apparatus. He won two medals at Paralympic games-2016 in Rio de Janeiro: a bronze medal in individual swim and a gold medal in team relay. Besides, Mariupol resident is a multiple champion and a winner of world championship and Europe. He is one of the authors of the project for enabled children “Be healthy”.
