On the occasion of the Day of Workers of the Sea and River Fleet, the Chairman of Primorsk Regional Administration Volodymyr Petrov presented the Mayor's gratitudes to the employees of Mariupol Trade Port. They were noted for their professionalism and contribution to the development of the enterprise.
‘Mariupol has always been associated with the sea and port cranes. And these are thousands of Mariupol residents who, with their daily work, glorify both their enterprise and our city. The port is always actively involved in infrastructure projects. In turn, the municipality is developing a project to build a concrete road, which will increase the number of cargo transshipments and improve the economy of the enterprise,’ Volodymyr Petrov said.
Port Director Ihor Barsky noted that the port has had to work in difficult conditions for the last seven years. Despite this, last year we managed to increase the volume of cargo transshipment, increase income and raise wages.
‘This is all the merit of each of you. You represent different professions: dock workers, sailors and economists. However, we are all port workers. The guarantee of prosperity is the stable operation of the enterprise,’ he stressed.
