Within the framework of the Action “Rinat Akhmetov for Children!” a grand celebration took place in Mariupol for pupils of family-type orphanages and participants of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation programs. This year, in addition to traditional gifts, the guys received an incentive for self-realization, as well as the opportunity to reveal their talents. The event was visited by the deputy mayor Ksenia Sukhova.
‘Traditionally, on the eve of St. Nicholas Day for children from family-type orphanages and children who have won serious illnesses, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation holds a big celebration. For Rinat Akhmetov, personal participation in the fate of the children of Donbass has always been very important. In the past four years, over six hundred thousand children have received gifts from him. We believe that kindness, openness and support give a new impetus for the realization of a dream,’ Roman Rubchenko, the director of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation said.
The guys at the festival were greeted by their favorite superheroes: Spiderman, Superman, Winx fairies, Harry Potter. Superheroes swirled the children in a variety of activities: here you could put a superhero water face paint, penetrate the mystery of tricks and the enchanting world of developing quests. You could even with your own hands to create a real miracle - a magic wand. The older guys together with the psychologist of Rinat Akhmetov's Foundation generated ideas in the Workshop of good deeds.
‘The children got great pleasure and a lot of emotions. And most importantly - an incredible amount of ideas that can be implemented and developed. I am very glad that we have visited this holiday,’ the parent-teacher of a family-type orphanage Larisa Obzor shared her impressions.
‘Thank you very much to Rinat Akhmetov for not forgetting about the children. It is good that in our country there is such an indifferent person. Today's holiday helped the children reveal their main superpowers - this is communication with each other,’ Elena Borblik, organizer of a family-type orphanage said.
At the end of the meeting, a bubble show was arranged for the children, after which they were waited by delicious gifts and sets of educational games. But most importantly, the guys understood: the real superpower lies in kindness and desire to help. And it begins with simple things - a smile to the passerby and help from relatives.
‘Today, Harry Potter and the magic wand helped me to discover the superpower! Thank you, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, said Lera Borblik.
Ksenia Sukhova also expressed her gratitude to the Foundation and its founder.
‘Many thanks to the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for this Promotion. In our time, not everyone can do something good. The deeds that the Foundation does is very important and valuable. Mariupol is always glad to welcome the Foundation, to help and be participants in the projects,’ Ksenia Sukhova said.
About 100,000 children received gifts from Rinat Akhmetov this year.
