Heads of relevant departments and utilities have reported to Mayor Vadym Boichenko on the elimination of the consequences of bad weather in June. More than UAH 5 million has been allocated for financial aid to residents. The repairs to the damaged houses are underway and a plan has been drawn up to launch the hydro-technical service.
Serhii Marchuk, Director of the department for the development of the housing stock and repairs of communal property, said that 207 houses were damaged. The works at 92 addresses have already been completed, 66 objects are in progress. Additional financial resources are allocated for 84 houses. The repair works are continued in the affected social institutions. Vadym Boichenko set the task to eliminate all the consequences of the disaster by October 1.
Director of the Department of Transport and Communications Vasyl Klat reported on the progress in creating the hydraulic engineering service. It will have four key objectives:
• formation of engineering solutions for the sewerage system;
• current maintenance of storm water systems and tubing;
• regular mechanical cleaning;
• interaction with the emergency service for the maintenance of closed tubes.
On the basis of the service, it is planned to create two brigades that will serve all areas of the city. They will have nine units of specialized equipment at their disposal.
The Mayor also instructed to develop engineering solutions for problem areas. Today there are 22 of them. In addition, he set the task to develop an electronic map of the sewerage system.
‘Today we do not have complete information about all the rainwater receivers and tubing that exist in the city. All information burned out in the city council. It is necessary to restore it in full and add it to the existing Geoportal of Mariupol,’ Vadym Boichenko said.
