More than 100 Mariupol residents to get financial assistance for the treatment

Today at the session of the Mariupol City Council, deputies supported people who were in a difficult financial situation. They all need funds for treatment. In most cases, these are people with cancer.

Help will receive 101 Mariupol residents. The total amount that was allocated from the city budget for treatment is almost UAH 2 million.

According to Svetlana Makarova, director of the health department, 50% of aid is allocated to people with oncology and 20% to children. The rest is for vital operations.

‘This year treatment is compensated for 177 Mariupol citizens. The total amount of assistance - UAH 4 million 190 thousand. With this help, we have already saved the lives of two children up to six months. Both were operated in the countries of the European Union,’ the director of the department said.
