At 10 am, Gogoltrain arrived at the Mariupol station. This is the first art train in Ukraine and in Europe where the passengers of the festival start the way. Gogoltrain is a cultural phenomenon on wheels. Its passengers are musicians, artists, directors, artists and art lovers.
Last year, Kiev team with only a few creative cars arrived at Gogolfest and today it is already a whole train. The highlight of the art train is the creative atmosphere of the trip, performances and exhibitions during the trip, as well as the unique train car with a stage, a dining car and even a hand poke tattoo parlor. According to the passengers, the journey was so intense that the train did not sleep - it was not possible to fall asleep. They communicated, exchanged experiences, participated in performances and worked.
‘Gogoltrain is an art train that unites cities in Ukraine. Because more often people do not know what is going so far’, Denis Ugorchuk, creative director of Gogoltrain noted.
The train was decorated by artists from different parts of Ukraine. Among them there are the street-art project Sestry Feldman, a group of artists ColoTeam, Kiev tandem EAZYWAY emp, a graffiti team from Kiev OneCru and many others.
Today, the train will return to Kiev and it will arrive in Mariupol at the end of the festival to bring the guests home. Then bright cars will be returned to the work of Ukrzaliznitsa and they will run as part of regular trains.
