Mayor Vadym Boichenko continues a series of meetings with the chairmen of HOAs of Mariupol. Due to the support program initiated by the municipality back in 2016, more than 800 HOAs were created in the city. At the meeting, they talked about the results of the work done and the opportunities for further development.
The support program includes five areas - overhauls of constructs, mini-projects, ‘Cozy Yards’, co-financing of the state program ‘Warm loans’ and overhauls under partial compensation. Since the implementation of the program, 321 major repairs have already been completed, over 700 mini-projects have been implemented and 251 ‘Cozy Courtyards’ have been equipped.
According to the head of the Department for Development and Support of HOA Sergey Marchuk, experience has been accumulated with the implementation of each project and the most important areas for HOA have been determined.
‘Next year we will increase funding for mini-projects to UAH 130 thousand. We double the cash fund for the repair of porches. This direction is in demand among residents. This year 69 entrances were repaired in the amount of UAH 1.5 million. There are also plans to include the repair of entrance groups of entrances in the implementation of the Cozy Yard program,’ Sergey Marchuk said.
Among the new directions of the support program is a project for the replacement of elevators on the basis of co-financing. 70% is money from the budget and 30% is own funds of HOA.
In turn, the head of the Department for Ecology, Energy Management and Labor Protection Vahagn Mnatsakanyan noted that in 2019, 129 ‘warm loans’ with the cost of UAH 23 million were issued in the city. Before the introduction of municipal support for this project, the number of implemented initiatives was many times less. For example, in 2017, only one HOA took part in the program.
Further, the meeting continued in an open dialogue format. Each representative of the HOA had the opportunity to share his vision of the further development of the HOA in Mariupol.
