The reconstruction of the supportive school continues in Mariupol. The heating system is already replaced there. Classes of the 2nd and 3rd floors are actively being prepared. They will be furnished very soon. The terms of the repair are moving due to the uprising of additional work during the reconstruction.
The joint task of the oblast and the city is to make a modern school taking into account the application of energy-efficient technologies. Pavlo Zhebrivsky, the Head of the Regional State Administration, and Vadym Boichenko, the Mayor of Mariupol, control the progress of the work Vadym Boychenko and arrived at the place repeatedly.
It should be noted that the need for additional works was identified during the reconstruction. Also, parents and employees of the institution expressed their wishes and therefore they decided to increase funding. Such changes have entailed the extension of the time limits of execution of works.
“The initial cost of repairing was about 45 million UAH. 10 million were allocated for works in addition and they were spent during repairs. Also, there were additional wishes to apply other materials. This has led to an increase in the cost of the project and, hence, to an extension of its performance time”, - Oleksandr Holtvenko, the First Deputy Mayor, said.
Oleksandr Lytvynenko, the Director of the contracting organization, said that a number of new tasks have been accumulated in the course of the work: “In order to perform new works, it was necessary to draw up design and estimate documentation. The director of the school was intended to take into account the experience of other schools in the country and the world, so the materials were changed for better and more durable”.
