Mayor Vadym Boichenko has held a working meeting with the German Consul General in Donetsk, with a temporary office in Dnipro, Tanya Bayer. Together with the secretary of the city council Ksenia Sukhova, they discussed Germany's support for the development of Mariupol.
Thus, on October 11, a grant agreement was signed between GIZ and Mariupol Center for Support of Small and Medium Business. He will ensure that independent experts are brought in for the Entrepreneurship School. In addition, with the support of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany, a strategy for the development of the city's food industry is being developed - together with representatives of the local food cluster.
“Today the most comfortable conditions for small and medium-sized businesses are being created in Mariupol. We support young entrepreneurs who are ready to develop the city, create new jobs and opportunities for residents. In its work, the municipality is based on the best international practices. We appreciate the help from Germany and are happy to continue our effective cooperation ”,

In addition, Mariupol, together with 12 cities of Ukraine, participates in a large project to promote the development of social infrastructure with a total funding of 9 million euros, which is also being implemented with the support of the German Government. The project includes the creation of housing for new residents of Mariupol in Rizhska Str., 27 and Nikopolsky Avenue, 127.
Besides, the reconstruction of kindergartens No. 160 and 98 in terms of energy efficiency and roof insulation was carried out with co-financing from Germany.
FRG government used to provide invaluable support in the form of humanitarian aid for the residents of the Vostochny microdistrict, Sartana, Talakovka and Gnutovo villages, who suffered from the shelling.
