‘Our key task is to transform the economy from industrial to post-industrial. Germany has a huge experience in this. Cities like Bochum and Dortmund have already come this way. Therefore, it is important for us to study the strategies of their success. In addition, the signing of the Memorandum will allow our industrial and agricultural companies to export and import, to establish contacts in Germany. The key is to build long-term cooperation,’ Serhiy Orlov said.

The President of the Federal Union, Thomas Sapper, appreciated the representatives of the municipality for the invitation.

‘Our goal is to help build bridges between the economy and industry. This is important both for German companies that we want to attract to Ukraine and for Ukrainian companies that we want to attract to Germany. We are very glad that in Mariupol we can cooperate with a team that is ready for action,’ he stressed.

Thomas Sapper noted that he was impressed by the strategic plans for the transformation of the city and the creation of conditions for young people.
