Last year, "Multicenter" social office became the winner of the international architectural competition "Modernization of the Year - European Award". The long-awaited award has arrived in Mariupol today. Mayor Vadym Boichenko stressed that this is another confirmation of the qualitative changes in our city.
‘"Multicenter" is a symbol of openness and accessibility of Mariupol. There is no such facility in Ukraine that immediately includes pension, administrative, utilities and a registry office. Through such front offices, we are changing the face of the municipal sphere. The key is to create accessible conditions for all Mariupol residents to receive services,’ the Mayor said.
The aim of the Modernization of the Year - European Award competition is to determine the best modernization and renovation projects in the field of municipal and industrial construction. During its 22 years of existence on the Polish market and 4 years in the European competition, it has played an important role in raising awareness of the value of architecture and the modernization of historical sites.
It is worth noting that “Multicenter” has been successfully reconstructed from the former “Soyuz” cinema. It was opened in 2019. The total cost of the project, taking into account the improvement of the territory, is more than UAH 100 million. These are funds from the local budget, the State Regional Development Fund, Metinvest Group and USAID. More than 400 administrative, communal, social and pension services are provided here, the largest registry office in Ukraine operates here.
