A meeting of the executive committee has been held in Mariupol. It discussed 40 issues. The implementation of the funds of the reserve fund of the budget, the allocation of flats for orphans and the approval of a number of work projects for planned reconstructions were among them.

Director of the Department of Finance Ekaterina Kalenik reported on the progress of procurement for the city budget. Thus, as part of the fight against a pandemic, about UAH 4.5 million was allocated from the reserve fund for the purchase of four mechanical ventilation devices. Due to the delay in procurement, as of June 1, funds have not yet been used up. Despite this, one device has already arrived at the hospital and the delivery of the second is expected in the near future.

In turn, Mayor Vadym Boichenko emphasized that it was possible to localize the spread of infection in the city due to the clear and coordinated work of doctors, the authorities and the consciousness of the residents themselves.

‘We have effectively worked out an algorithm for combating a pandemic with our doctors. He gave a tangible result. More than 90% of patients in Mariupol recovered. We made decisions in a timely and correct manner. We did not wait, but purchased everything necessary to provide hospitals and staff. We initiated a motivation program for doctors. We provided food packages to over 30 thousand people. As a result, the number of cases of coronavirus infection decreases daily,’
the Mayor noted.

It is worth noting that in total about UAH 60 million was allocated from the city budget to combat the pandemic.
