A meeting of the executive committee has been held in Mariupol today. The approval of technical projects is on the agenda. Their implementation will improve the infrastructure of the city and provide new opportunities for Mariupol residents.

The construction of an outdoor gas pipeline to residential buildings in Staryi Krym village at a cost of UAH 1.3 million is among the projects. Besides, there are work projects for the overhaul of road sections on Mira Avenue.

According to Mayor Vadim Boichenko, the roads are divided into three categories depending on the traffic load in Mariupol. A contractor with international experience went into the repair of the main roads. In addition, the young enterprise ‘Mariupolavtodor’ continues developing. It uses modern upgraded coating.

‘We strive to cover all roads of Mariupol and its suburbs with repairs. Every year the pace of repairs should gain momentum. Our goal is to have high quality roads in Mariupol’,
the Mayor noted.

Besides, the executive committee approved the overhaul project of ‘Chika’ Palace of Culture. It includes the repair and warming of its facade, replacement of windows and doors, renovation and repair of internal premises. It includes the replacement of internal and external lighting, landscaping of the adjacent territory.

There is the construction of school sports complexes among the projects. This year it is planned to open 11 objects. The project includes universal platforms with artificial turf, landscaping approaches to them and external lighting.

‘The main goal is to attract children to sports. However, the quality of the sites is not enough, physical education teachers must also undergo qualified training. This is an integrated approach to the education of sports youth. Our task is to provide motivation for professional sports’,
