International cooperation helps Mariupol to implement key projects. The program ‘Development Strategy of Mariupol-2021’, the leading positions in the rating of the most transparent cities of Ukraine, the introduction of electronic instruments of democracy, the increase in the security level - all this has become a necessary criterion for attracting foreign investment. More than EUR 100 million will be spent on the implementation of large-scale infrastructure solutions.

The development strategy of Mariupol is a road map of the city, in which key development directions for five years are spelled out. International experts are attracted for the implementation of projects. This document has already been implemented by the city by 70%.
In addition, Mariupol is working to improve the security of the city and its inhabitants. Its joint programs and projects brought Mariupol among the five safest cities in Ukraine with the highest level of trust in the police.

Transparency International's rating of the most transparent cities of Ukraine testifies to the openness of Mariupol. In a short time, the city rose from the 57th step to the leading position. The high result became possible due to the constant work on the implementation of e-democracy tools. Among them there is the system ProZorro, Social Inspector, Open Budget and Dozorro. In addition, there is a local petition system and a single contact center. There is cooperation with EUACI and ALDA.

All this has become important criteria that have brought a new level of development of international relations with Mariupol. Thus, the Government of France invests 64 million euros in a comprehensive solution to the problems of water supply for half a million Mariupol. The EBRD invests about 33 million euros in the construction of a modern transport model IFC, E5P, which will be used to purchase almost 140 units of modern transport and reconstruction of the depot. European Investment Bank in the reconstruction of the external lighting of the city sends 17 million euros. All this is more than 100 million euros, with the help of which a number of key projects are being implemented in Mariupol. In the direction of this a phased and systematic work was carried out for several years.

The city continues on the path of transparency, cooperates with international partners in the implementation of infrastructure projects of Mariupol. The city proves that with the Development Strategy and its implementation, it is possible to achieve high results in a short period of time.
