City Council and ‘Beten Ingenierie’ sign the Cooperation Agreement

Today, Mayor Vadim Boichenko and the president of ‘Beten Ingenierie’ company Jean Roche have signed an agreement on further cooperation. This is the second document. ‘Beten Ingenierie’ will help create and implement an appropriate Sustainable Green Development Strategy for Mariupol.

‘Due to the joint work - we have received an international assessment. ‘Beten Ingenierie’ helped us to conduct an examination that answered important questions. A lot of work has been done in two years and this is just the beginning. We look forward and plan further action,’
Vadim Boichenko noted.

In accordance with the Agreement, the French company will provide engineering and consulting services, market analysis, feasibility studies and project documentation in the field of ecology and environmental protection to Mariupol City Council.

In particular, the French company will assist in the implementation of projects for the management of municipal solid waste, the improvement and development of the coastal zone, the modernization of the city’s heat supply system, the creation and implementation of an appropriate development strategy and a project for sustainable green city development. ‘Beten’ will facilitate the establishment of decentralized cooperation between Mariupol and French partner cities, regional and state structures.

In turn, Jean Roche stressed that in two years the city has been changed significantly. He also added that the company is ready to continue working with the municipality.

‘I first came to Mariupol two years ago. There are significant visible changes. Mariupol is a friendly city, with good parks and squares. With a good tourism center that works in a former water tower,’
Jean Rosh said.
