Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet with Mayor Vadym Boichenko have visited school No. 26. He noted that this is an example of how the school infrastructure should be updated.

Serhii Shkarlet was shown a gym, new kitchen equipment and classrooms equipped with interactive teaching aids at school 26. The Minister examined the adjacent sports infrastructure.

‘This school is the epitome of great change in our city. 6.5 thousand square meters, 32 modern technological classes - this is how the institution looks today. New equipment and modern approaches open up new opportunities for more than 900 children who are now studying here,’ Vadym Boichenko said.

The Minister also appreciated the progress of the reconstruction of the nursery-kindergarten No. 32. The building has not been renovated since its construction in 1951. Large-scale reconstruction began last year. The kindergarten is being renovated within the framework of ‘Great Construction’ project and with the support of the European Investment Bank.

Serhii Shkarlet was told that special attention was paid to creating conditions for children with disabilities. A psychologist, a physical cabinet, resource and sensory rooms will operate on the basis of the garden. The renovation work will increase the number of children. It is planned that the kindergarten will be able to open its doors in September this year.

‘These objects are created due to ‘Great Construction’ initiative of the President of Ukraine. The school was successfully renovated in a short time and the institution received a new status. This is both renovation and the restoration that should be exemplary for the whole of Ukraine,’ the Minister emphasized.
