Today, in ‘Ukrainian House’ Palace of Culture a gala concert dedicated to the 122th anniversary of Illych Iron and Steel Works of Metinvest Group has been held. For veterans and employees of the enterprise a thematic photo zone was made. Everybody was congratulated by the first deputy mayor Mikhail Kogut and the general director of Illych Iron and Steel Works Taras Shevchenko.
‘All these years, our company remains one of the irremovable leaders of the metallurgy in Ukraine. We successfully solve problems in terms of the volumes and qualities of products, as well as issues of expanding sales and improving competitiveness. We are constantly improving and building. Continuous development allows our company to be successful. But the greatest value of the plant is its workforce of all generations,’ Taras Shevchenko said.
Mikhail Kogut also appreciated the staff for their dedicated work. According to him, the veterans of the plant laid a solid foundation that allows the company to be the flagship of the metallurgy of our country. Now employees need to proudly carry and increase this rank.
‘Today's holiday is important not only for metallurgists but also for all Mariupol residents. To present the history of the city without the history of the plant is impossible. Over the years, the plant has become our reliable partner and, in a difficult moment, has placed its shoulder on the city. With his activity and active position, he makes an enormous contribution to the development of Mariupol,’ Mikhail Kogut said.
During the festive program, the best workers of the fire profession were awarded with diplomas of the company and gratitude to the mayor of Mariupol. The winners of corporate competitions were also awarded.
