Steelworkers help to fight off pandemic: 242 oxygen points to be equipped in the hospitals of Mariupol

The specialists of metallurgic assets of Metinvest Group in Mariupol are finishing the mounting of additional 242 oxygen points in medical establishments of the city. Since the beginning of the year, UAH 24 mln were allocated to provide the hospitals with necessary equipment of direct oxygen feed to the patients with Covid19 and virus pneumonia.

Office of Public Relations in Mariupol of Metinvest Group informs about it. The company continues helping to the medical workers of Mariupol to fight off COVID19. Because of the start of the second wave of coronavirus and increase of the amount of patients who have the treatment in the hospital, the steelworkers in short period of time equipped oxygen supply lines and additional feed point of oxygen.

There are additional feed points in three city hospitals for more effective treatment of the patients with Covid19. Thus, 90 feed points of oxygen were added in Matsuka city hospital №4 in three departments. Two departments for the treatment of the patients with Covid19 were supplied with 40 feed points of oxygen in hospital №1. The amount of beds with supplied oxygen were increased, 112 feed points of oxygen will be added additionally.

Today, due to the partner help of iron and steel works, there will be 345 beds with feed points of oxygen.

Since the start of the year, Illich iron and steel works of Metinvest Group supplied 96 024m3 life-saving oxygen at a cost of UAH 5,3 mln without consideration. In October, the volume of deliveries has increased in 10 times by the demands of medical establishments.
