Mayor of Mariupol, Vadim Boichenko, has met with the heads of HOAs of Mariupol. In an informal setting, the chairmen of apartment building associations could ask questions of interest. The municipality and the residents discussed the existing problems and outlined joint plans for the future.
Mariupol is actively reforming the housing and utilities sector. In particular, he is working on the creation of HOA. Since 2016, there were 72 of them in the city. Today there are about 700.
The transition to condominiums allows residents to become full owners of their homes and get away from the inefficient work of housing offices. Since 2016 219 ‘Cozy Yards’ have been created. 350 mini-projects were completed. An annual investment in support of apartment building associations is UAH 175 mln.
Chairmen of HOAs appreciated the city authorities for their support and assistance. They spoke about the problems that worry them and made suggestions for improving the work of condominiums. In particular, those present raised the problem of non-residential premises and proposed to create a program for training the heads of associations of apartment buildings for energy efficiency. The Mayor instructed the core departments to take all the issues under control and promised to hold such meetings in the future.
