A solemn event on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its foundation has taken place in Mariupol Electromechanical College. Teachers received gratitude from the Mayor and memorable gifts for their conscientious work and significant contribution to the development of education in our city. Deputy Mayor Olena Paramonova congratulated the workers of the technical school on the holiday.

‘A powerful cluster of educational institutions is being formed in Mariupol. The municipality comprehensively supports the development of education so that the acquisition of a profession takes place in a comfortable environment and gives young people the opportunity to show their potential. Cooperation with institutions that teach technical basics forms the personnel base for utilities and iron and metallurgical enterprises. They are an integral part of the city's life,’ Olena Paramonova emphasized.

More than 500 students are currently studying at the technical school. They study transport technologies, electromechanics, mechanical engineering, banking - there are eight areas in total. Students are actively involved in city and regional sports competitions in basketball, volleyball and football. They invite to thematic lectures held by representatives of international organizations, police and volunteers. After graduation, young people work in the areas of city-forming enterprises in Mariupol and throughout Ukraine.

‘I have been working in the technical school for 38 years. It is my life for me. The best thing is that you can always communicate with young people. So I feel myself more cheerful. We also have very friendly children. Even after many years my first graduates meet and communicate with me,’ Lyudmila Filippova, a teacher of the highest category said.
