A meeting of the executive committee has taken place in Mariupol today. During the meeting, draft decisions on the reconstruction of buildings at 137 Nikopolsky Avenue and in 27 Rizhskaya Street were approved. 11 apartments will be used as social housing.

“Our task is to help people who find themselves in difficult life situations. For this we create social housing and buy the flats. It is important that the residents of the city and those who have become part of our Mariupol family feel support and care”, First Deputy Mayor Mikhail Kogut said.

The first floor of a residential building will be reconstructed along Nikopolsky Avenue. The construction project provides for reconstruction of premises with re-planning and internal repairs, replacement of doors and windows, 100% replacement of the heating system. In Rizhskaya Street, a non-residential building is being reconstructed into a residential one. The premises of the first floor will be redeveloped here, the facade and roof will be insulated, floors, walls and ceilings will be repaired. The total cost of the two projects is over UAH 11 million.

The decision was also unanimously adopted to provide four families with social housing. Among them there are single mothers with children, a pensioner who has no housing and a man with a disability. Living space will be allocated to six families with many children and orphans. Eight families will receive service housing. There are teachers of schools, universities and kindergarten teachers among them.
