Mariupol hockey players win the Azov Sea Cup

On Sunday, the decisive match of the Azov Sea Cup was held in Mariupol, in which four professional hockey clubs took part. HC "Mariupol" took the first trophy in the history of the club.

The rival of our ice hockey players was the HC "Donbas". The game was held in fierce tension and ended with a score of 3: 2. The best defender and scorer of the tournament were the players of the Mariupol club - Yegor Artamonov and Serhii Tverdokhlebov.

First Deputy Mayor Mykhailo Kohut and General Director of the Hockey Super League of Ukraine Serhiy Varlamov attended the awards ceremony.

"Mariupol is doing everything to develop sports in the city. We are updating sports grounds, supporting local professional teams. Soon we will open a unique Olympic-level pool for our region ", Mykhailo Kohut emphasized.

As part of the Cup, the Mariupol hockey players also defeated White Bars with a score of 3: 7. It is worth noting that the Azov Sea Cup was held for the second time. The first one took place in the summer among women's teams. Now men's teams competed for the championship.
