Today, a draft decision has been supported on the transfer of functions for the comprehensive maintenance of kindergartens and schools to the communal institution “Service Center of Educational Institutions” at the session of the city council. According to Mayor Vadym Boichenko, the new enterprise will provide high-quality maintenance of educational institutions.
The Service Center is a unique establishment that combines a centralized laundry, service and cleaning services. Mariupol became the first city in Ukraine to introduce such an approach to servicing educational institutions.
At first, a centralized laundry was created for linen from all kindergartens in the city. The center can wash 1.5 tons of linen per day. Now we have added more service and cleaning services.
The service department consists of four professional mobile teams. They will carry out planned and emergency repairs in preschool educational institutions. Maintain the internal heating, water supply, sewerage, power supply and lighting systems in working order.
Specialists of the cleaning service will visit educational institutions for a complete cleaning of carpets and upholstered furniture. Professional equipment Kercher was purchased for this.
‘Decentralization has opened up new opportunities for us. We are renovating schools and kindergartens. We effectively manage the education sector. However, new infrastructure requires increased attention. It is necessary to maintain our educational institutions with high quality. There should be professionals who systematically monitor the technical equipment. That is why the decision was made to create a modern service department for the comfort of our children,’ Mayor Vadym Boichenko said.
