Vadym Boichenko, the Mayor, does not miss the opportunity to talk with Mariupol residents. Small townspeople, like their elderly relatives, also have their own vision of the development of the Independent Ukraine, which they like to tell gladly.

In one yard of Mariupol, little Mariupol citizens rushed to Vadym Boichenko. They ventured to tell the city mayor about new platforms, benches and asphalt, where they were no longer afraid to ride their bikes and skateboards, and how they liked the latest changes. The Mayor asked them about holiday that was that day. As it turned out, in spite of the fact that they were not the followers of the 1991 events, they understand already what an independent country is and why they should fight for it.

“Yes, I know what a holiday is today! - little Nikita said, - today is the Independence Day of Ukraine! This is a very important holiday for us. We were told about it a lot by teachers and parents”.

Vadym Boichenko drew the attention of young people to what the city authorities did for the sake of the good future of children. This is new transport, entertainment and new higher education facilities, and also he noted how important it was to take care of everything. The children promised that they would start doing our city even better, because the great future of our country is up to them.
