Today at a session of Mariupol City Council the achievements and plans of the Gorsvet enterprise of electric networks of external lighting have been discussed. Since the beginning of the year, 5.7 km of linear wire have been repaired. Over 1.2 thousand lamps were repaired and more than 3.3 thousand bulbs were replaced.
Director of the enterprise Sergey Prilipin emphasized that for the first half of 2019, 174 LED lamps were installed and 5.8 km of overhead lines were replaced.
‘Mariupol is one of few cities in Ukraine where outdoor lighting is on for all the night. Target financing from the city budget for providing external lighting for the city amounted to almost UAH 22.4 mln,’ Sergey Prilipin said.
The plans are to implement an ambitious project with the European Investment Bank for the reconstruction of outdoor lighting networks. It is planned to replace about 30 000 light points with new ones using LED technologies. A loan of almost EUR 12 million will be allocated for its implementation.
It is also planned to overhaul the outdoor lighting networks of houses 42, 45, 54/46 on Mira Avenue to develop design estimates for the reconstruction of outdoor lighting networks in Levanevskiy Str. and Grecheskaya Str. and to purchase special equipment.
Today, the company has more than 29.6 thousand of lamps and almost 8.8 thousand of utility poles on its balance sheet. The total length of electric networks is more than 1180 km.
