Olga Kharasakhal, a pupil of the 11th grade at Mariupol Technical Lyceum, has won a prize at the International competition of scientific projects Intel ISEF 2019. The competition was held in the United States of America. 1800 schoolchildren from more than 70 countries of the world took part in it. This is reported by the Department of Education of Mariupol City Council.
Olga Kharasakhal presented a scientific work on the topic: ‘Vacuum filtration with DOPA-typing as a new method for diagnosing circulating tumor cells of all melanoma subtypes’. The girl was able to become one of the best at the competition and received four prizes and a cash reward.
In addition, in the team from Ukraine, Artem Agvanyan, a 10th grade student of the Mariupol Technical Lyceum, participated in the competition.
It is worth noting that the Intel ISEF International Competition has existed for over 60 years. It is the world's largest competition for research projects of high school students. Intel ISEF World Finals are held annually in May in one of the US cities.
