The celebration of 240th anniversary of Mariupol will be held on October 29, 30. Traditional and entertaining locations will be set and a concert with the participation of celebrities will be held for the citizens and guests of the city. The highlight of the holiday is going to be a spectacular historic demonstration on Mira Ave. and 3D show that will demonstrate all the stages of Mariupol evolvement.
According to the Deputy Mayor Alexander Kochurin, local bands will perform in the districts on September 29. The main solemn part will be held on Sunday.
Sport events such as races and competitions will take place on September 30 at 8 o’clock. There will be locations for family rest in theatre square. Races of opticopters will be performed and it is not an ordinary event for Mariupol citizens. A food-cort zone will be located near the square. A festival of borshch is going to take place there and everybody will be able to take part and try to cook it.
There will be a historic demonstration starting from Kazantseva Street and ending the theatre square at 11 o’clock. There will be several portable platforms which will represent eras of city development.
‘A solemn opening of the fountain is going to take place. The scene will be located on the right. One house that is opposite the theatre and the theatre itself will be involved into lazer 3D show. We will show the history of city evolvement that will last for 10 minutes. Such celebrities as STAR-BAND, ‘Leprikonsy’, Artem Pivovarov and Jamala will perform on stage’, Alexander Kochurin said.
A water tower is going to be opened on September 30 and everybody will be able to visit it, to climb the upper floor and enjoy a birds-eyed view.
