There is a big celebration of the 239th Anniversary of Mariupol birthday in the City Garden. There are various entertainment sites for residents and guests of the city. Vadym Boichenko, the Mayor, and Victor Remsky, the Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, took a part in the celebration.
The City Garden met Mariupol citizens gladly. The vacationers are entertained by live figures and traditional craftsmen who present their handmade products. The creative tablets with remarkable and interesting historical dates of Mariupol situate along them.
Everybody was able to buy anything from jewelry to national amulets. There were various master classes on drawing, face painting for children, and also there were the best performance groups of the city together with clowns on the stage.
The real highlight of the celebration was the festival of world cultures. Ukrainians, Greeks, Armenians, Turks and Gypsies represented their traditions and cuisine. Vadym Boichenko and Victor Remsky were met by every nation with their traditions and treated them with a variety of dishes.
Also, within the framework of the ‘Loaf of Peace’ action, the local bakery gave the Mayor a batch with the Trident and Coat of Arms of the city on it as a sign of solidarity and peace in Ukraine. It should be noted that the students of the ‘Custody Center’ municipal children's home and ‘Future Policemen League’ took a part in the process of cooking the loaf.
The enthusiastic tricks of martial art were demonstrated by the students of the Afganets sports and patriotic club, who surprised those present with sword dance, the Chinese dragon and heroic force.
