Head of the Danish DRC-DDG mission Brieuc Le Merle visits Mariupol

A new head of the mission of the Danish refugee council Brieuc Le Merle has had a working visit in Mariupol. Stepan Makhsma, the secretary of the city council met with the delegation from Denmark. They discussed the further cooperation of the municipality and DRC-DDG mission together.  

During the meeting Brieuc Le Merle got acquainted with the previous projects of the mission in Mariupol. For several years, an international organization has been leading the program of support of IDPs as well as people affected by the conflict in Ukraine. Besides, it helps the residents to revive their own business.

“The municipality of Mariupol demonstrates its effective decisions of the development of the city. We will continue our cooperation and support of the positive changes in the city”, Brieuc Le Merle admitted.

In his turn, Stepan Makhsma appreciated the guests for the interest to the city and support: “We are united by long partner relationship. We appreciate all the team of DRC-DDG mission which has been working with Mariupol from the first days of the conflict. We hope for our further cooperation”.
