On May 16, Mariupol will traditionally celebrate a Worldwide Day of Vyshyvanka. This year the festivities will be held near the Theater Square. The residents and guests of the city will enjoy a parade of national costumes, a concert and entertainment program, a model show and a competition of the best vyshyvanka.
The celebration will begin with a solemn procession in national costumes. It starts in the area of the central police station along Metallurgov Avenue and will pass to the Theater Square. The formation of the column will begin at 16:00, and the course itself at 17:00. Anyone can join it, wearing an embroidered shirt.
The members of the national course will be met by the orchestra of folk instruments. The Shumka folk song ensemble will perform at the Theater Square. In the theater square, fiery national dances will be presented to the audience by members of the national band ‘Promin’.
Besides. in the Theater Square there will be a competition of patriotic drawings on asphalt.
