On May 18, a real European city will appear in the City Garden. Traditionally, Mariupol residents celebrate Day of Europe in May. This year the holiday will be large-scale. From 3 pm to 11 pm the oldest park of the city will be the epicenter of events.
Street theaters will be held in celebration of the festival. 8 theaters prepared a rich program for Mariupol residents. A location with an interactive theater will work on the main alley of the garden: there will be actors with hand puppets and mimes.Two children's puppet shows will be shown on the stationary scene of the park: ‘Kolobok’ of the Creative Association ‘Arlekino’(Mariupol) and ‘Once in Africa’ of the Theater ‘White Wizard’ (Dnipro).
In the green zone, viewers will be able to feel Odessa flavor due to the play ‘Theatromania’ by the People’s Theater ‘Once in Odessa’. Kharkiv Theater ANIMA will present the play 'Cloudy' - the performance is constructed according to the method of contact improvisation using animation, shadow theater, dolls, form and material. And at 9 pm Lviv Academic Theater ‘Resurrection’ in the light of candles and lamps will show the interpretation of Chekhov's ‘The Seagull’.
There will be an interactive zone for children, as well as a cinema club with animated films.
There will be battles for the lovers of modern dance, which will become an important youth location of the holiday. The program also includes an exhibition of vintage cars, photo zones, a bubble show, a magician's performance, animators, mimes and a photogun.
As part of Day of Europe, installations will be installed in the park where you can take pictures. Spectators of the older generation are waiting for a retro disco, a themed photo zone and a master class in dance.
Street musicians will present an interesting jazz program in different parts of the City Garden. In the evening, the symphony orchestra will perform a European musical program.
The guests of the holiday will be able to taste European dishes at the European Day food court. The evening will end with a musical program with a light show.
