Mariupol has been visited by representatives of the municipality of Kherson. The purpose of the visit is to study the experience of our city in attracting investments, reforming the housing stock, transport system and administrative services. First Deputy Mayor Mykhailo Kohut told about the recipe for success.
‘Due to the elaboration of a clear development strategy, openness and transparency, the city was able to attract investments from international financial institutions. This made it possible to transform the housing stock - more than 50% is in condominiums.Besides, municipal transport has been completely renovated. We raised administrative services and utilities to the European level,’ he stressed.
Mykhailo Kohut shared his plans for the future with the guests. In particular, he noted the development of the next Development Strategy-2030, plans to build a medical campus and modernize the water supply system with the help of French experts.
During the visit, the guests visited Veselka Park, Freedom Square. We got acquainted with the work of the Multicenter, Mariupol tram and trolleybus administration.
‘We know that Mariupol has the best Strategy in Ukraine. We were amazed that the city has modern bus stops, electronic boards, renovated parks and squares. We also want to learn from your experience in building a modern transport model. In addition, we are planning to reorganize the old cinema into the Center of Administrative Services in Kherson. You have already done it and this case is important for us,’ Inna Trybukh, head of the working group said.
