Mariupol plans to cooperate with Pakistan in the development of higher education

Today Mayor Vadym Boichenko has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Ukraine Noel Israel Khokhar. They agreed on cooperation in the field of higher education.

In particular, three Mariupol universities - Mariupol State University, Priazov State Technical University and the Medical University are seeking to expand cooperation with Pakistan in attracting students. The ambassador noted that he is interested in increasing contracts with Ukrainian universities.

“Mariupol is by far the most open and transparent Ukrainian city. We have a comprehensive development strategy. Currently, medical, educational and IT clusters are being formed in the city. The plans are to build an airport and a concrete road, which will open up new opportunities for development, ”Vadym Boichenko stressed.

Noel Israel Hohara noted the importance of customizing connections. He said that he talked with representatives of the Pakistani community of Mariupol. They are very happy with life in the city.

“I am very pleasantly surprised by what I saw. The city is actively developing. We have a great potential for the development of relations. Yes, this year we have already held the first ever Ukrainian-Pakistani business forum, ” the Ambassador said.
