Mariupol gets ready to ‘MRPL CITY’ festival

A large-scale music festival of the east coast of Ukraine ‘MRPL CITY’ will start in Mariupol, which will be held from August 9 to 11. The preparatory work is underway on the beach in Peschany townhip. The details of the festival and the movement of public transport were told by the director of the PSC ‘m.EHUB’ Maria Sliota, the organizer of the festival Andrei Zhuravel and the deputy director of the Department of Transport and Communications of the City Council Sergey Ostapenko.

Thus, for the convenience of the residents and the guests of the city free buses will run during the festival and additional routes will be added.

‘On the route from the stop ‘Donetsk Law Institute’ to the venue of the festival, 8 buses are involved. Their movement will be carried out at intervals of 2-3 minutes, travel is free,’ Sergey Ostapenko said.

Besides, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., an additional bus and trolleybus routes will be organized from the DUI stop in three directions: Vostochny microdistrict, Kalmiusky market stop and the Zapadny microdistrict. Shuttle buses 118 and 154 are limited, from 2 p.m. to 6 a.m. to the Donetsk Law Institute.

According to Maria Sliota, traditionally three scenes will work during the festival. Vibrant performances of more than 70 famous artists of Ukraine await vacationers. Everyone will be able to find an artist that matches their musical preferences. People will be allowed to enter the festival at 4 p.m., the beginning of the performances of artists at 6 p.m.

This year, the scenes at the festival are fully consistent with European standards, equipped with modern lighting fixtures. Contractors from different regions of Ukraine are involved. Showers will also be installed on the campsite. In addition to concerts, visitors will be offered various services and areas for a comfortable stay. The food court will work.

The rule of law at the festival will be guarded by National Police officers, foot patrols and carriage crews. There will also be a stop of vehicles and a surface inspection.
