The heating season in Mariupol will start on time. All 66 boiler rooms and central heating points are completely ready. This was reported to Mayor Vadym Boichenko by heads of public utilities and chairmen of district administrations.
“Due to systematic work and investments in the development of utilities, for the second year we are starting the heating season on time. We have nominations. Both “Teploset” and “Vodokanal” are fully prepared”, Mayor Vadym Boichenko stressed.
He added that this year “Gorvodokanal” received a record number of investments - about UAH 140 million. In five years, about 250 km of pipes have been replaced. “Mariupolteploset” also received significant investments - about UAH 120 million.
Dmytro Miroshnichenko, director of “Mariupolteploset”, said that on October 15, the houses of Mariupol residents will receive hot water and if the average daily air temperature drops below +8 degrees for three days, heating will be provided.
Volodymyr Antonenko, head of “Mariupolvodokanal”, stressed that all pumping and sewage stations are completely ready. The plan to replace the networks for this year has been almost completely fulfilled.
According to the first deputy mayor Mykhaylo Kohut, on the basis of the department of housing and communal infrastructure the staff, where heads of areas and the municipal enterprises are involved, works. The houses are ready to receive central heating. There are only partial problems with the high-rise buildings managed by “City for People” company. Vadym Boichenko set a task - by the end of the week to 100% prepare the housing stock for the heating season.
