Mariupol continues to adopt practices of increasing the openness and transparency of the municipality. Today the representatives of the relevant structural divisions of the City Council have discussed the results of cooperation within the framework of ‘Cities of integrity’ project with international partners. It is implemented by ‘Deloitte’ company together with the European Union Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine.
The goal of the project is to help the municipality develop and implement effective anti-corruption tools to increase the effectiveness and accountability of the authorities as well as to attract residents to participate actively in the field of public control.
‘We have developed an anti-corruption roadmap. We regularly hold meetings and trainings for employees of departments and utilities. They discuss the experience gained in the field of tender procurement, analyze the work in this direction. Besides, all contracts are registered in the tender department, experts regularly check them. These events allowed us to reach the target indicator,’ the head of the tender department, Alexander Buraga said.
International partners evaluated the achievements of Mariupol municipality and agreed on the timing of the development of a target program for the implementation of the Geocadastre in Mariupol.
