Today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the procedure for using the funds provided for in the state budget for the program "Implementation of the project for the supply of drinking water in the city of Mariupol" has been approved. This is one of the stages of the implementation of a large-scale project. It will solve the problem of water supply for half a million Mariupol.

This project was initiated by Mayor Vadym Boichenko. It became possible with the support of the Government of France.

‘We have become one step closer to our goal - to provide Mariupol families with high-quality drinking water. The project will solve the problem, which has existed for 95 years. The residents will receive water of high European quality,’
Vadym Boichenko noted.

It is worth noting, last year the corresponding agreement between the governments of Ukraine and France was ratified by the Ukrainian Parliament. According to it, about EUR 64 million will be allocated to finance Mariupol water supply project. This project is a pilot for the whole of Ukraine. It aims to solve the issues of using an alternative source of water supply, minimize water loss and improve its quality.
